How the calculator works
The full-cost view shows what an employee really costs the business. Every position is visible and editable.
1. Annual gross wage
Gross hourly wage times target hours per year. At 15 EUR and 39 weekly hours, that is around 30,400 EUR gross per year. The starting point, but not the finish line.
2. Social charges
Employer share of social security, accident insurance, U1 and U2 levies and insolvency levy. In cleaning typically 20 to 25 percent of gross wage.
3. Bonuses
Christmas bonus, holiday bonus and capital-forming benefits. Not every company pays all of these; if nothing is entered, you see the pure gross-plus-charges view.
4. Other personnel costs
Uniforms, training, medical checks, certificates and other person-related expenses. They occur per employee and belong in an honest full-cost view.
5. Markup on gross wage
The calculator finally shows by how many percent actual personnel cost sits above the gross wage. Anyone pricing only on gross wage loses that markup as margin.
What is underestimated in practice
The most common mistakes when pricing labour cost:
- Using only gross wage. Real burden in cleaning often runs 25 to 35 percent higher.
- Forgetting the accident insurance contribution. Rates in cleaning are higher than in many other industries.
- U1 and U2 levies missing. Both are statutory and often overlooked.
- Bonuses ignored. Under tariff payment, holiday and Christmas bonuses belong in an honest full-cost view.
- Uniforms and certifications hidden in site cost, though they are person-related.
